Well, I was wrong again, I was contacted by a former client last night and she was asking what I thought the chances would be of the court making her EX pay more than $200,000 in legal fees. After a little thought, very little, I thought maybe $50,000, and the rest the lawyers would have to chase or wait for the client to have the ability to pay it off over time…Time, under these circumstances time can be more painful than a root canal.
I am sitting and doing some paperwork when I get a call late in the morning and my former client is beyond happy, the judge ordered her EX to pay $300,000 dollars…knowing Mr. EX, I have to think that he was turning every shade of red and off blue in the rainbow. He was also ordered to cough up the one million plus that is due in 30 days….this being a part of her settlement for being the queen of the house for almost 10 years. This was a big morning for a former DESPERATE EX, she is no longer desperate and will move on and do well. She has lost weight and was looking great.
You see ladies, when you can get on with your life and move on things will get better…having a million dollars plus also can be, lets just say, nice.
