Judge Frederick Shaller is leaving the Family Law Court (LA Superior Court), and this is going to be a real loss, people! This is a judge who is respected and very well-liked by the legal community. One lawyer tells me in no uncertain terms that this guy was a breath of fresh air and will be missed. Robert M. Cohen, Esquire takes it a step further, “Judge Shaller was an excellent addition to the family law bench, and his departure will be a huge loss…I do not know one family law attorney who did not think that he was excellent!” The word at Stanley Mosk Courthouse is that he is going to go to civil court. Judge, you will be missed, and I, for one, will miss sitting and listening to you in the course of your dispensing justice in family law court.
