For the last few years I have been given the honor to be a guest at one of the United States Marine Corps balls. If you have never been to any Marine Corps function, try and attend at least one before you die! Many of the men and women who work for me are Marines, and when not on active or reserve duty these same people are police officers. This is what makes me and my family and many of my clients sleep well at night…no one will get past these brave men and women.
One of my good friends is a four star Marine Corps General…and two of my best friends one a Colonel and the other a Lt. Colonel. The General is funny but in a different way, the other two have given themselves some great laughs at my expense…and given my military career, who would have ever thought I would sit in the company of these guys.
Lt. Colonel Mark Stainbrook has asked if I would reach out to my clients and try to collect donations for this year’s ball. Our target goal is $10,000 — not much when you consider that this amount will lighten the burden on those Marines attending and provide a great gift to raffle off.
I cannot think of a better cause during these times when this Marine Company is being deployed to Iraq and other areas every six months! Checks should be made out to the following:
