Today I was shocked to hear of the murder of four Oakland Police Officers. This is an attack on our entire society. Having worked in the bay area for a number of years this horrible event hits me to the core. In the old days we spent many hours working leads in Oakland, the Oakland P.D. were always great to work with.

As a former police officer I know very well what it is like to lose a brother officer and the pain and emotion cannot be explained. Members of the law enforcement community will come to the aid of the families and take care of those left behind. In time the pain will lessen, all you can do at a time like this is recall the good times, the events that made everyone laugh and best of all that all of these officers will be remembered as heroes who gave it all in protecting their community.
