Ask anyone who knows me, even fairly well and they will tell you I am not one who likes change. That is, of course, unless we are speaking of cars, new one every 3-4 years, almost landed a great deal on a new 2025 Phantom….. bought another rental instead. (The trust was happy about that). A few weeks ago I was told by a very reliable source that the Law Offices of Hersh, Mannis was going away….. going away in so much as they are known today. No, everyone is happy and healthy. Nonetheless, a big change!

After speaking with Joe Mannis as well as Neal Hersh, these guys are happy as can be, and in their opinions it is time. My conversations with the two of these Legal Eagles will remain for my personal enjoyment! The meals and the fun through the last 35 years I had with Joe and Neal as well as Adam are beyond the best of the best! Nothing but fond and wonderful memories.
After speaking with Adam Lipsic, I came to understand that “Change” in this respect is a good thing. The move to Century City and not having to carry a hideous amount of debt to operate a modern day DIVORCE firm is a very healthy move. This is also for the benefit of their current clients as well as an impressive book of business built over 100 years!

All the large powerful firms have taken actions to not carry insane amounts of debt in the form of ridiculous overhead. After all, it is better for the clients not to be charged for all the bullshit and at the same time can be financially rewarding for those who practice ‘Modern’ day DIVORCE law!
One great example of being ‘Bloated and Gaseous’ would be that of Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, just my humble opinion. Those lawyers in that firm and other similar firms better ‘bill, bill, bill’ lots of hours to cover that mess, known as a “firm”. This was the style back in the day when bell bottoms were popular! All that glitz and fancy bullshit is being charged to you, the client in billable hours.

Hell, poor old Lisa H. Meyers, if not for having a driver to take her around town, would most likely end up in downtown Tucson, Arizona! Gotten to the point that if someone does not call her “Lisa” she would answer to sound of a cork popping! That style of operating is no longer relevant much like the founders of these huge money burners, this is just one that is still herding in the suckers to pay the freight!
Jon S. Summers and Marcie R. Levine are the luckiest two lawyers in Los Angeles! And why you ask? Well it was Adam Lipsic’s long working relationship with Jon Summers that a deal was struck to combine the two firms. Now, Summers and Levine in my opinion are just two old ‘Balloon Blowers’, this is a firm that no one has ever even heard of, period…… and it would appear that the generosity of this partnership will shine a more positive light on these two ‘unknowns’.
We do know the name of the new entity and that too will be released in away that suits Neal and Adam. Not for me to announce here, this is Adam’s big release and all his hard work is deserving of whatever success he builds. Personally, it was hard to hear those words of the new ‘firm’. However at the same time as long as my 2 old friends and the ‘younger one’ are happy that works for me too!
Congratulations to Joe Mannis, Neal Hersh and Adam Lipsic for a job well done….. Joe, keep enjoying those private jets that you are so fond of! Neal and Adam I will of course be seeing you around….. maybe even with the Chief!
