Catching up with Lawrence Leone

What is a day without the sound of Lawrence Leones voice, well I was very pleased to have had a great conversation with the famous Mr. Leone this morning. Lawrence has a style and presence that is let’s just say “unique,” ask any divorce lawyer in the business and they too will have a story about the “Leone.” I met Lawrence many years ago when he was a partner at Trope and Trope. From the moment I met him and to this very day, the guy has given me hundreds of opportunities to laugh and think about a story or his take on a situation in divorce.

This morning we spoke about business and current cases in the Los Angeles divorce courts. And of course Lawrences memories and thoughts on his former boss, Sorrell Trope. Lawrence was telling me stories and I could tell that he still has a big space in his heart for another great one, Sorrell. Lawrence Leone went on his own almost two years ago and is cutting his swath through the land of fun and games, practicing divorce law. Mr. Leone has joined forces with Joel Seidel, Mr. Seidel has been around for years and unlike Mr. Leone, speaks softly and carries a big stick. These two are doing very well and have found what is their pace. Bored? Go catch Lawrence Leone in court and hope that he had a bad morning….sheer entertainment.

The new phone number at his office is 310-756-8880, Lawrence is fond of Asain culture and numbers and the three 8s signify rising fortune…and it would appear that is exactly what is happening to Leone & Seidel, congratulations to both Lawrence and Joel.
