Get well soon Judy

Recently I was informed that Judith Dahlman Rhodes, Commissioner of the Superior Court, was not feeling well. (passed BAR 12.7.88) I have to say I am a little surprised. Judy represented Paul Anka in a tough custody battle and, under constant attack, won a significant victory. This was in Ventura, and at the time, Judy was practicing Family Law or, as we call it, DIVORCE law. Every day Judy was tasked with making her case under constant attack from the other side.

Judy would show up every day and move forward with a focus that she clearly understood. At times I have to say I could not understand the strategy and at times did not agree with it. On the other side was a law firm out of Century City; representing that firm was Lisa Helfend Meyer, Esq. Day in and day out, it was a battle of monumental proportions, and in the end, Judy D. Rhodes had kicked the well-dressed lawyer from Century City back to Century City. After all, Judy was on the side of justice and doing the right thing for her client Paul Anka.

We understand that Judy is not feeling well, and we at DESPERATEEXES.com wish her a speedy recovery and hope that she feels better in the days and weeks ahead. Judy is fighting ALS, Team Judy, and is doing well, we are told. Shortly after the victory and getting her client a massive win, Judy was appointed to the bench. Judith was appointed to the bench on November 14, 2018, as a Commissioner; pretty cool.

Judy get well,

John
