Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

Merry Christmas is back, as it should be, along with Happy Hanukkah. This is as good as it gets. For me, I don’t need and have no other desire for any other stuff. Well, it was Merry and Happy at Lisa Helfend Meyers annual office extravaganza. Lisa, Doreen, Dana, Felicia, Ben, and Anne know how to throw a bash, and a bash they threw at Spago Beverly Hills, one of Pucks many money machines.

What other law firms in Southern California would ever throw such a glamorous event? Very very few, as they tend to be penny pinchers when it comes to doing for others. NOT Meyer, Olson, Lowy and Meyers, LLP, they love doing for others and for their incredible staff. They even invite friends of the firm to enjoy many of the events they throw through the year! Again, other firms, you are lucky if they validate your parking ticket!

The two people who are pictured here with me are also two people I will eternally be grateful to. Lisas mom and dad! Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah and lets hope for another great year in 2017!

It is a fact that M.O.L.M. does nothing unless it is done right. The way the partners and associates practice law, and the way they treat employees, staff and partners, all first class. This evening’s event was held at the private dining room decorated nicely for Christmas & Hanukkah by Puck. The bar was open from the time you arrived till the last person left, all on the firm, all top shelf liquor, no short cuts, it was all there to be enjoyed. Enjoy the gang did. Trust me folks when I tell you it was enjoyed by all.

Lisa, Doreen, Dana and Felicia introduced a new partner, Mr. Craig Pedersen. Craig will be joining Benjamin Valencia II and Anne N. Slusser as the newest addition to what is one of the biggest and most influential law firms in the country, specializing in DIVORCE matters. Well, between introducing Craig and giving out prizes and gifts for all to enjoy. The food was as expected, perfectly marvelous. Doreen and I had the filet mignon. Served hot and perfectly cooked, could not have been any more perfect. The salad served just prior was delicious. I know there was a beet. And the rest? Not sure but it was great. Doreens husband Tom had the fish and it too looked delicious. After all, it is Spago! I would like to remind some of you that if you have short arms and deep pockets this is not the place for you to hang out, it costs $$$$ to eat here.

The staff and the friends present all had a wonderful evening and as is custom everyone danced into the evening. This too is a tradition at all of the parties thrown by M.O.L.M. If you are invited you gotta participate. The music was provided by a DJ and the music and atmosphere could not have been better. Again, the founding partner and her partners see value in their staff and those who work for the firm. And when I tell you this is rare, please believe me.

All we need is music, sweet music There'll be music everywhere They'll be swinging, swaying, records playing Dancing in the street...

Dancing in the street…

Lisa and I were recalling the first day we met (visit nazarianandassociates.com and read the mentor section) I was in court on a Doris Duke matter, almost 20 plus years ago. This was when I met Lisa and Doreen. It was one of the luckiest days in my life and continues to be still after almost 24 years. We are also lucky to be on the list to attend all these great parties, luncheons, and events. If you ever get an invitation to any party given by these folks, rearrange your calendars, you won’t ever regret it. I say lucky as I am sometimes on the other side of Lisas office in litigation and if they were like some, I would be banished. Again, it is a mindset that M.O.L.M. sees value in their relations with clients, employees and friends of the firm.

Another fun fact is that M.O.L.M. has outgrown its beautiful offices in Century City. When I say nice, this firm’s digs are truly some of the nicest around and it has to be, M.O.L.M.s people work hard and having a positive workplace is critical to the thinking of the women who have built this practice. Their kitchen is so comfortable that a good cup of coffee or a snack is always at the ready there. So I am excited to see what the new location will be and the designs that will be implemented and new furnishings when it finally happens sometime in the New Year!

It is interesting that so many DIVORCE practices are sucking wind and dying off and here comes Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, LLP. When you build something, and you build it right and focus on your work and your clients, I am guessing this is the end result!

Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah
