Dearest Family, Friends and Colleagues:
It is with great pleasure that I announce the opening of my own law practice, The Law and Mediation Offices of Tara Scott. After 14 years at practicing at one of the larger family law firms in Los Angeles, I decided that the time was finally right for me to branch out on my own and to provide what I (and hopefully others ;-)) believe is excellent legal service on a cost effective level. I am so fortunate to have had a fabulous experience at Trope and Trope, top notch training, and the ability to work with some of the best family law attorneys in Los Angeles. However, it was not until this past year that I had the opportunity to provide family law mediation services; and, when I did, I felt that I had truly found my niche in this business. Although I will still take on regular family law cases and clients, the focus of my practice is going to be mediation. My skill set (Masters in Dispute Resolution) caters to it and, more importantly, I truly feel like I am helping people which is why I got into family law in the first place.
